Hull star opens up on ‘dark days’

Joh Griffin has taken to Instagram to express his feelings on mental health problems suffered in the aftermath of his devastating season-ending injury.

The 31-year-old suffered the horrific Achilles tendon injury in Hull FC’s Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to St Helens way back at the start of June.

But, Griffin – who may well have represented England at this year’s World Cup had it gone ahead and had he been fit – looks to be well on the road to recovery.

The centre has already posted numerous videos on his Instagram in the past few months documenting his rehabilitation, with the length of his recovery said to be at the halfway point – though it’s not all been plain sailing.

Hull are already doing it tough with injuries, but both Joe Cator and Josh Reynolds are set to be out for the rest of the season after suffering long-term injuries in the Hull derby victory.
