Hull provide stadium update in wake of derby clash

Hull FC will not be able to open the West Stand Upper tier for the Hull derby, the club has revealed.

That’s down to the fact that there is a lack of casual match day personnel required to staff both catering and stewarding operations in what will be the biggest game of both sides’ seasons so far.

Hull go up against bitter rivals Hull KR this Saturday, but Rovers will be without winger Ethan Ryan who will miss the rest of the season after suffering a fractured scaphoid in the win over Wigan Warriors.

Rovers overcame Wigan in dramatic fashion after Ryan made a try-scoring return to his career at Craven Park.

The winger has suffered with the injury before – only on his opposite wrist which is a cruel twist of fate the flier.

Ryan made the move to Humberside ahead of the 2020 season, but has registered just 11 appearances since joining from Bradford.
