Reports in the Hull Daily Mail suggest Hull FC are set to lose Joe Westerman and replace him with Josh Jones.
Westerman is off-contract and is wanted by Castleford, the club he started his career with in 2007.
It’s believed the Tigers have tabled him a better deal than the contract extension offered by the Black and Whites.
Whether Westerman leaves or not, Lee Radford is keen to add Salford back-rower Josh Jones who is also out of contract.
There is still work to be done to complete the signing with the 26-year-old also wanted by Leeds, Wigan and St Helens.
Jones began his career at Saints and played centre in their 2014 Super League Grand Final triumph against Wigan.
He switched codes in 2015 to link up with Exeter but failed to make a single appearance before signing for the Red Devils a year later.
