Hull KR’s MIkey Lewis receives damning blow

Hull KR’s Mikey Lewis has received a damning blow.

The playmaker was taken off during KR’s loss to Wakefield Trinity last night and how interim coach Danny McGuire has revealed that Lewis will be out for the rest of the season.

The 11-day concussion protocol means that Lewis will miss Hull KR’s home clash with the Wigan Warriors on Monday as well as the Hull derby at the MKM Stadium next weekend.

Shaun Kenny-Dowall is now out of his brace and recovering well from his MCL injury picked up in the loss to Leeds. The Skipper will have his eye on recovering in time for pre-season this Winter. 

Greg Richards has now undergone surgery to repair his torn hamstring. The forward will begin his rehabilitation in the near future and aim to return to full fitness in early 2023. Dean Hadley has also undergone surgery on his shoulder issue and is targeting a return for the start of pre-season.

Jordan Abdull (quad tear), Brad Takairangi (hamstring tear) and Luis Johnson (pectoral tear) are still undertaking rehabilitation with the club and have made positive progress in their recoveries.

Johnson is now back running and is undergoing the latter stages of his rehabilitation. Will Dagger is now in a protective boot following achilles surgery and will be aiming to return in late 2022 / early 2023 for pre-season.

Lachlan Coote is now ruled out for the rest for the season after sustaining his third concussion of 2022 late I’m the loss to Saints last weekend. The fullback will now rest up and complete the necessary concussion checks as he prepares for next season.
