In one of the biggest games on the rugby league calendar, Hull KR and Hull FC battle in a seismic derby.
The Robins booked their place in the Challenge Cup semi-finals last week and after finishing in the top six last season, they’ll back themselves to again make the play-offs and an impression in 2022.
Hull FC will also back themselves to make the top six in 2022 after a positive start but will be after a response following their Challenge Cup exit last week. A win here would be vital for both side’s success this year.
Kick-off time and TV channel
The game kicks off at 12:30 in front of a sell out crowd.
TV coverage starts at 12:00 on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Arena.
Predicted Line-ups
Hull KR
After their recent good run, Tony Smith will likely stick with much of the same side although the performance of Ethan Ryan for the reserves last week could prompt Smith to reconsider his in form right edge of Jimmy Keinhorst and Sam Wood. Perhaps one of the three will be on the bench following Mikey Lewis’ injury with Keinhorst and Wood able to cover the pack. That said, we could see Korbin Sims figure on the bench to offer size so long as the ankle injury he picked up in the reserves isn’t so severe. Nonetheless, much of the side will likely stay the same same with Jordan Abdull set to come back into the 13 after Lewis’ injury.

After defeat to Huddersfield Giants in the cup last week, we may see Brett Hodgson revert to a more traditional looking side. After playing Joe Lovodua at six recently, Josh Reynolds will return to the halves with Lovodua used as an impact sub. There may be a doubt over Andre Savelio after he went off injured against the Giants. This could be a way back in for Jordan Lane who was left out last week.
