Hull KR face Salford Red Devils tonight as the two sides aim to go into huge games next week in the best possible position.
Hull KR face Wigan Warriors next week in a huge game towards deciding who will win the League Leaders’ Shield, with the two sides currently level on points.
Meanwhile, the Red Devils host Catalans Dragons next week in a game that could put them in prime position to finish in the play-offs.
Currently, Salford are fourth, two points ahead of Catalans and St Helens, and three points ahead of playoff-chasing Leigh Leopards.
Here is the team news ahead of the game.
Hull KR team news
A huge boost for the Robins sees Oliver Gildart return to contention to play, after the centre was ruled out of last week due to a head knock.
That means Willie Peters has to decide whether he’s ready to play over Jack Broadbent, after a solid performance against St Helens last week.
Meanwhile, James Batchelor drops out of the 21-man squad due to suspension for Grade B Dangerous Contact (higher end).
Therefore, it seems likely that Matty Storton will start in the back row.
Salford Red Devils team news
On the other hand, Oli Partington and Tim Lafai, who themselves served one-game bans last week, return to the side, as does Jack Ormondroyd for the first time since May.
Ormondroyd hasn’t been able to line up in the Red Devils’ pack due to a rib injury and in June, Paul Rowley said he likely wouldn’t feature again this season, making this a welcome return.
Salford Red Devils assistant coach Krisnan Inu said in yesterday’s press conference – via Love Rugby League – “We’ll play Jack when we see fit.
“He has put his hand up to obviously put himself in the mix and put himself up for selection.
“The player that he was before injury, he was in great form, and it’s about finding that form again now, especially now at the right time of the season when we need those players and big bodies leading into potential finals.”
They remain without Ben Hellewell and Matty Foster.
