Hull KR have acted swiftly to ban a supporter following an incident at the Leigh Sports Village.

The club released this statement:

Following an incident at Leigh Sports Village involving a supporter throwing a flare onto the field of play, the club can confirm we have written to the offender to inform them that they are banned from all Hull Kingston Rovers events and games until the end of the season.

Hull Kingston Rovers take supporter safety very seriously and will continue to ensure supporting the club at home or on the road is a safe environment.

Ahead of this Saturday’s Derby clash against Hull FC, all supporters are reminded that they are representing the club at all times, and are advised additional security measures may be in place at the game.

Hull KR overcame Leigh 34-28 in that fixture and are now set for a derby clash in which they haven’t won for the past two meetings.
