Hull KR can provide a squad injury update from Round 21 after going down to the Warriors last Thursday night.
Sadly, the Robins lost four players in the game. Lachlan Coote suffered a concussion in a collision with Wigan’s Harry Smith and failed the subsequent HIA. So far, Coote is completing his return to play protocol and will likely be available for next Friday’s game against Leeds Rhinos.
Will Dagger suffered a season-ending ruptured achilles following an awkward twist in the tackle midway through the first half. Dagger will now undergo surgery tomorrow and begin his rehabilitation shortly after.
On their debuts, both Charlie Cavanaugh and Connor Moore went down in the defeat. Unfortunately, Cavanaugh dislocated his patella after an impressive debut. The young hooker will now likely miss the rest of the season and require surgery to correct the damage.
Connor Moore picked up a shoulder injury early into his debut and will miss the next few weeks. Thankfully, the Robins welcome back Matty Storton (dislocated toe), Frankie Halton (AC rupture), Shaun Kenny-Dowall (throat injury) and Jimmy Keinhorst (concussion) after recovering from their respective injuries.
Albert Vete after picking up a calf issue in training this week. The Tongan forward is pushing to return to the front-row in the next two weeks.
Ryan Hall is now back in training following his calf tear and will likely return next week to face his old club at Sewell Group Craven Park along with Kane Linnett as the influential second-rower enters the final weeks of his return from a bicep tear.
In other positive news, Mikey Lewis is now running on the club’s anti-gravity treadmill and will be eased further into full training over the coming weeks.
It’s been confirmed that Dean Hadley will require surgery after suffering a shoulder dislocation in the win over Wakefield Trinity. Hadley will return in 2023 for KR having signed a new one-year extension with the club.
Both Jordan Abdull (quad tear) and Brad Takairangi (hamstring tear) are still undertaking rehabilitation with the club and have made positive progress in their recoveries.
