Hull KR suffer huge blow

Hull KR have confirmed a huge injury blow with star player Jordan Abdull confirmed as being out for an extended period of time.

Abdull is currently second in the Man of Steel rankings after a sensational star to the season.

In his first three appearances of the season Abdull remarkably notched a maximum nine Man of Steel points.

He missed the odd game unfortunately through concussions but when he did feature he was unplayable as we saw against Leeds Rhinos and Hull FC.

This was why he was drafted into the England squad by Shaun Wane but sadly he was withdrawn due to repeated head knocks.

This week as Super League action returned, he picked up what was at first believed and hoped to be a small injury in his leg.

However, the club have now confirmed the full extent of the injury as they lose their biggest star for over a month.

The club made the following statement confirming he would be out for six weeks:

“Earlier this week, Jordan Abdull sustained a quad injury which will see him ruled out for up to 6 weeks.

“You’ll be back stronger, Jordy.”

Thus the Robins will have to do without him as they take on Huddersfield Giants tomorrow.

Fortunately the club have halfback Rowan Milnes back at the club following a loan spell at Wakefield Trinity who no longer need him after they pulled of a major signing in the shape of former Man of Steel Luke Gale.

Meanwhile Trinity have Mason Lino and Morgan Smith in the roles whilst Lee Gaskell played for the reserves last week.
