Hull FC weren’t just beaten today by Hull KR but they were battered by their rivals.
Trailing 14-0 at the break, they went on to lose 40-0 to the Robins as Ryan Hall scored a superb hat-trick.
It was tough for the Black and Whites who were missing a few stars before the game like star signing Jake Trueman and lost Jake Clifford during the game.
Star fullback Tex Hoy went down with a hamstring injury last week and was absent.
This left his teammates defending the huge statement he made before the season.
Speaking to the Sportsman, he said: “I’ve heard that before I even came over (importance of Hull derby), I heard it’s a really big occasion for both teams and the whole town plus even the Super League. We won’t lose one while I’m here for sure, that’s my goal and hopefully we’ll be the strongest Hull team in the competition.”
