Hull KR star named in squad following HIA drama against Catalans

Hull KR started the season in brilliant form with two wins from two however they have fallen to three straight defeats, something they will aim to end when facing Wakefield on Friday night.

There has been plenty of talk about the playing surface ahead of the game and not as much made about the fact that Rovers are depleted once again.

They made history last week as the first side to ever need to utilise their 18th man, with three players all exiting the field under HIA protocols.

As such Willie Peters has been made to ring the changes on account of two failed HIA’s.

That’s left a 21-man squad that doesn’t feature star man Jordan Abdull which is a massive blow considering his importance to the Robins.

There is a return however for Matt Parcell who will share the hooker role with Jez Litten once again.

Kane Linnett is another to return which is huge news for the Robins after the impressive forward had suffered an MCL injury.

The three players that miss out from last week are Abudll, Frankie Halton and Dean Hadley.

That spells a return for Ethan Ryan and Matty Storton whilst Yusuf Aydin is also named in a Rovers squad for the first time.

The aforementioned Parcell and Linnett also feature leaving the Rovers with plenty of confidence heading into the Friday clash.

Mikey Lewis is named in the squad having passed his HIA last week against Catalans.
