Hull KR reached their first Grand Final in the Super League era in 2024 but Willie Peters’ side fell at the final hurdle to the quadruple-winning Wigan Warriors.
It was clear for much of the season that they’d be at the top end of the standings come September, and they could, therefore, recruit accordingly.
The Robins have made a number of signings for 2025, when they’ll no doubt hope to go one step further, and we’ve analysed each of them as we head into the off-season.

According to reports, the Robins beat St Helens to the winger’s signature, and they were interested in him with good reason.
The 27-year-old has scored 86 tries in his Super League career across spells with Wigan Warriors and Catalans Dragons, and he’ll be a great player to replace the outgoing try-scoring ability of Ryan Hall, lining up opposite Joe Burgess.
However, he struggled more this year, as did his teammates – as they failed to build on a Grand Final appearance of their own and they fell out of the play-off spots.

An NRL icon, JWH made over 300 appearances in NRL with Sydney Roosters, picking up three Premierships and three World Club Challenge victories along the way.
One of the most iconic front-rowers in the sport over the past decade, he’s a huge pickup for Willie Peters’ side – but there’s plenty to be said about his disciplinary record, with a number of games missed for disciplinary reasons in 2024 alone.
It’s a risky signing, but the potential for him in a Hull KR shirt is huge, and he could certainly help them get to the next level.
Micky McIlorum

Like Waerea-Hargreaves, he’s in the twilight of his career, but McIlorum is another player who’s been there, and done it all in rugby league.
The 36-year-old has also won three Premierships – his Super League wins, alongside three Challenge Cup victories, have also come in over 300 first-grade appearances, with Wigan Warriors and Catalans Dragons.
Another joining from the French side, he’ll be a good player to work with Jez Litten in the number nine role.
Rhyse Martin

Another really top signing, Martin has been one of the few shining lights in Leeds Rhinos’ season.
Certainly one of the best in his position in 2024, he will be another man who can take their already excellent pack to a point where they should be able to perform consistently as well as they did this year. Moreover, he brings an esteemed kicking game to take the pressure off Mikey Lewis.
Bill Leyland

He may have missed the 2024 season through major injury, but Leyland is an exciting player.
At just 21, he has made 29 Championship appearances, the majority of which came during the 2023 promotion season for London Broncos in which he won Young Player of the Year. With McIlorum also joining, there is a chance that Leyland is loaned out which is something that Hull KR did with third-string hooker Reiss Butterworth in 2023 after his jump up from the second division.

Another that’s probably with an eye on the future, the 23-year-old has only made four Super League appearances, and none since 2021.
With Bradford Bulls in 2024, the forward picked up almost every accolade there was to win at the club’s end-of-season awards. He is incredibly highly thought of at Odsal but he has his work cut out to force his way into the Rovers front-row.
Danny Richardson

Richardson spent much of the 2024 season on loan with KR and was rarely called upon. You’d expect that to be the case once again in 2025 and 2026, Hull KR fans will certainly hope so anyway because if Richardson is playing significant game time then it would likely mean an injury to one of Tyrone May or Mikey Lewis.

Never heard of two of these lads but hopefully they can make it is sl as it’s a big jump to sl.
3 of kr signing I believe are past it ok been good players over the years but if mr Peter’s thinks that’s his answers to sl title he needs go back into the market.. the team that beat them in the gf are so good and strong and all seem to know what their jobs are on the field.. it’s going take some team to stop wigan again this coming season in 25… I know a lot of players in nrl and sl that would love to be in that Wigan team..
over the next couple of years they have got lads coming through that are bigger now than some of the first team players.
