Hull KR signing leaves former club in battle over new signing

Hull KR have made a lot of exciting signings for the 2023 as they prepare for a new era under new boss Willie Peters.
They have brought in the likes of Rhys Kennedy from the NRL as well as Wakefield Trinity’s James Batchelor and Salford Red Devils’ Sam Luckley.
However, one of their most exciting acquisitions is centre Tom Opacic who comes in from Parramatta Eels.
This is a signing which has been talked about a lot by Peters who spoke about what the centre brings in defence as well as attack recently.
However, his departure has left Parramatta battling over a new signing.
According to the Daily Telegraph, his move to Super League has left the Eels determined to bring in Corey Allan who has been offered to clubs by the Canterbury Bulldogs.
A fullback by trade, he would offer some much needed cover at centre for the Eels after Opacic’s move to Craven Park.
The Eels are said to be very keen on Allan due to Opacic’s departure but they’re set to have to battle with the Manly Sea Eagles over Allan’s signature.
Allan has played 50 games in the NRL for South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Bulldogs and has made one appearance for Queensland in 2020 making his State of Origin debut as the Maroons stunned the Blues in the series decider.
