Hull KR have allowed prop forward Eribe Doro to return to Championship high flyers Bradford Bulls on loan.
Doro has been on the peripheries of Willie Peters’ first-team thoughts this season making four appearances for KR in what is his first season for the club. His last outing came on June 13 when the Robins thumped Catalans Dragons 68-6, with Doro getting minutes off the bench once more.
However, he won’t feature in Super League again for the next couple of weeks at least after returning to Bradford, where he had a spell on loan earlier in the season. Doro made two appearances during that brief loan and he has returned for a similar spell with the Bulls confirming the loan is an initial two-week deal.
Hull KR man returns to Bradford Bulls
Doro is no stranger to Odsal, of course, with Rovers taking him from the Bulls squad in the off-season. He spent a season and a half with Bradford, where he made 31 appearances and scored three tries.
He impressed that much in his first full season with the club that he collected a raft of awards, winning Hitman of the Year alongside the Players’ Player, Coach’s Player and Fans’ Player of the Year awards.
He’s a favourite in West Yorkshire then and supporters will be delighted to see him return as the club continues its push towards the top of the Championship. At present Bradford are third in the table, two points shy of leaders Toulouse Olympique and level on point with York Knights.
The move means Doro will be included to take on Hunslet on Friday night, but he’ll also be around to play in the four-pointer against York on July 13.
Opportunities have been few and far between in east Hull so far but he knows if he can catch the eye, he’ll be in a good position to return to Craven Park and attempt to make an impact over the final months of the season, with KR on a title charge.
Hull KR can confirm that forward, Eribe Doro has joined Betfred Championship side, Bradford Bulls on a two-week loan with immediate effect 🤝🐂
