Hull KR secure NRL forward for 2023 and beyond

A big week for Hull KR has concluded with a major signing this morning.

Things got off to a good start on Friday night when Danny McGuire’s side turned around a 22-12 deficit against Warrington to win 30-22 to leapfrog their neighbours in the race for the play-offs.

Then yesterday the club confirmed that Dean Hadley has signed a one year extension to remain at the club for next season.

And the announcements keep coming with Hull KR confirming the signing of NRL forward Sauaso ‘Jesse’ Sue from the Newcastle Knights.

The Knights are the prop’s third team in the NRL after making his debut in 2013 with Wests Tigers before a stint at Canterbury.

Overall he’s made over 150 appearances in Australia’s premier competition including 116 for the Tigers where he also scored 10 tries.

A versatile forward he can play in every position in the middle and will be a huge asset to Willie Peters side and has signed a three year deal with the club to keep him there until the end of 2025.

A Samoan international as well he’s made 10 appearances for his country including at the 2013 World Cups in 2013 playing every game despite only just making his NRL debut.

He declined the chance to play in the 2017 World Cup to get married.
