Hull KR have made a number of key signings for next year, as they look to build on an impressive 2024.
Ahead of the current season, the Robins signed a number of quota players, namely Peta Hiku, Tyrone May, Kelepi Tanginoa and Jai Whitbread.
Currently, clubs can have a maximum of seven ‘non-Federation trained players’ in their squad – and these players are defined as those that didn’t play three seasons of rugby in Europe before they turned 21.
These rules are much more relaxed than previous rules, which were at one point to only allow three foreign players in most English sides.
Currently, Hull KR have all seven quota spots full, but what is their situation for next year?

The four new quota players are all still on contract next season.
Peta Hiku, Kelepi Tanginoa and Jai Whitbread all signed three-year deals, so they’re contracted with the club through 2026.
Meanwhile, Sauaso Sue has one more year on his contract.
Another with a contract up after 2025 is half-back Tyrone May, whose fruitful partnership with Mikey Lewis is expected to continue into the future.
However, two quota players won’t be at the club next season.
Tom Opacic is leaving at the end of the year after two seasons at the club, despite previously having a contract through 2025.
Meanwhile, Matt Parcell has been confirmed to be retiring at the end of the campaign – whose position in the team will be taken up by signing Michael McIlorum.
Those two players will be replaced by Rhyse Martin, signed from Leeds Rhinos, and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, an NRL icon who is Sydney Roosters’ most-capped player.
