Hull KR provide latest on Mikey Lewis, Jordan Abdull and Brad Takairangi

Hull KR have provided an injury update on their squad following their Super League loss to Catalans Dragons last weekend.

Both Dean Hadley and Will Dagger sustained concussions in last Saturday’s game and now have to complete the 11-day return to play protocol. If both players complete the protocols they will be available for selection against Salford next Sunday.

Frankie Halton made his return from a high-grade ankle sprain against Catalans and was a standout for the Robins in a tough, physical game.

Jordan Abdull (quad tear), Brad Takairangi (hamstring tear) and Kane Linnett (bicep tear) have now undergone surgery for their respective injuries.

Sadly, Abdull and Takairangi will likely miss the rest of the season due to their lengthy rehabilitations while Linnett may return in the latter stages of the 2022 Betfred Super League season.

Closing in on full fitness, both Mikey Lewis (ruptured ankle ligaments) and Sam Wood (dislocated patella) will be pushing to feature for KR next Sunday as they face Salford Red Devils at Sewell Group Craven Park, although Hull Live earlier on today said that Lewis had suffered a setback in training which could see him miss that fixture.

Both Dan Okoro (fractured wrist) and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e (AC shoulder damage) continue their recoveries and look to return in mid-June.
