Hull KR provide injury update on Kane Linnett, Jordan Abdull and Lachlan Coote

Hull KR have provided an injury update on their whole squad following the Challenge Cup exit to Huddersfield Giants at the weekend.

Frankie Halton’s recovery is said to be progressing well with the second-rower likely to return against Castleford Tigers on Sunday.

In the early stages of the Robins’ semi-final clash, Kane Linnett sustained further damage to his torn bicep and will now require surgery on the tear. The second-rower will likely miss up to 12 weeks as he recovers from the injury

Later in the game, both Jordan Abdull and Elliot Minchella would exit the field after picking up their own respective injuries. The Robins’ medical staff have confirmed Elliot Minchella sustained an ankle ligament injury late in the game and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Leaving the field in a similar fashion, Jordan Abdull suffered a quad tear in the loss and is set to see a specialist to determine the severity of the injury.

As mentioned last week by Tony Smith, Sam Wood suffered a dislocated patella (knee cap) in the loss to Leeds. The towering centre is looking at 2-4 weeks out of action due to the injury.

Mikey Lewis continues his rehab after rupturing ligaments in his ankle against this week’s opponents in the Betfred Challenge Cup last month.

Lastly, Lachlan Coote will be available for selection this week after completing his mandatory 11 days following his concussion suffered against Leeds Rhinos.
