Hull KR snapped their 40-year trophy drought on Saturday as they beat Warrington Wolves 8-6 in the Challenge Cup final.
Here’s our Robins player ratings.
Jack Broadbent: Targeted physically and aerially by Warrington but he acquitted himself under the high ball extremely well and attempted to get his side moving. 7
Tom Davies: The game winner. Found himself on the peripheries at times but managed to write himself into Hull KR folklore. 7
Peta Hiku: Wasn’t always clean with his work but came close to getting the try himself and regularly looked to get his side on the front foot. 7
James Batchelor: Carried well and had to dig in defensively at times. 6
Joe Burgess: Probably fortunate not have been sin-binned early and made the error that very nearly cost his side the game by spilling the ball in the build up to Josh Thewlis’ try. 6
Mikey Lewis: Kicked extremely well and slotted the decisive conversion to give his side the win. 7
Tyrone May: Worked hard defensively throughout and had the energy to deliver the kick for the winning moment. 7
Sauaso Sue: Worked hard through the middle of the park but didn’t have huge amounts of joy. 5
Micky McIlorum: Had 27 minutes on the field but struggled to KR off on the right foot. 6
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves: Helped Rovers keep their cool at times through the middle. 6
Dean Hadley: So busy defensively and again, he needed to be on a day he deserves after helping the club up from the Super League doldrums. 7
Jai Whitbread: Again, like most his teammates, his best work came in defence. 7
Elliot Minchella: Made some errors but, captained his side to victory. 6
Jez Litten: Made a big impact when he came on in the first half and that continued into the second half. Probably KR’s best. 7
Sam Luckley: Put himself about after coming off the bench and he had to dig deep yet again. 6
Jack Brown: Struggled physically at times but ploughed on. 5
Kelepi Tanginoa: Showed his physical prowess on the ball. 6
