Hull KR enjoyed their most successful Super League season to date in 2024 as they reached the Super League Grand Final for the very first time. Despite that, though, they’ve made a number of changes to their squad with eight players being brought in, including the high profile names of Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Tom Davies and Micky McIlorum.
They’ve seen some star names leave the club, too, though, with Willie Peters progressing into the new season without some of last season’s top performers. Here’s a look where the nine senior men who left the club have gone.
Ryan Hall
This one was announced early, with the winger returning to Leeds Rhinos, the club where he started his career. Hall spent four seasons with the Robins, racking up 106 appearances and 62 tries, but he’ll be looking to bring them down next year in the blue and amber of Leeds.
He has plenty of competition for a spot in the side at Headingley, with Ash Handley and Maika Sivo also at the club.
Jordan Abdull
Another player returning to the club where he made his debut, Abdull has joined Hull FC after falling out of favour at Craven Park. The half-back is expected to play a key role under John Cartwright and has been handed the number six shirt.
George King
King struggled for minutes at Craven Park last season and while he did have three more years left to run on his deal with the Robins, he was allowed to join Huddersfield Giants. He has penned a four-year deal at the John Smith’s Stadium.
Corey Hall
Hall spent much of last season on loan at Castleford Tigers, where he made 14 appearances and scored two tries. However, rather than returning to Craven Park, he has gone back to Wakefield Trinity for the 2025 season.
Reiss Butterworth
The hooker spent just one season at KR and left having failed to make a senior appearance for the club. He has penned a deal to join Championship side Sheffield Eagles.
Matt Parcell
The hooker has retired from the professional game and has made plans to return home and step into property management. Parcell spent just over five years with the Robins and made 121 appearances.
Tom Opacic
The centre was released in order to make way for the signing of Rhyse Martin from Leeds Rhinos. He hasn’t found a new club yet but there have been reports that he was pushing for an opportunity with Brisbane Broncos.
Matty Storton
The 25-year-old spent five seasons with Rovers, making 105 appearances and becoming a crowd favourite. However, he’ll be wearing the colours of Wakefield next season after penning a three-year deal with the club.
Louis Senior
Senior spent last season on loan at Castleford Tigers and he has now joined the club permanently to play alongside his twin brother.
