Hull KR new signing out until at least March

Hull KR have had plenty to shout about in the off-season with impressive recruitment, a new head coach and also a new chairman but another of their new signings has had to undergo surgery.

It was reported in late 2022 that star signing Rhys Kennedy from the NRL would undergo surgery and could find himself in a race for fitness to start the season.

It’s now been reported by the club that another of their signings, Yusuf Aydin, will be out until at least Mid-March.

Aydin signed from Wakefield with Trinity reportedly unhappy to lose the talented young prop, who was joined by another Trinity man in the form of James Batchelor.

Aydin has undergone surgery for a wrist ligament according to the club’s Twitter and whilst he might not have been a starter it’s still a major loss of a depth piece for Willie Peters’ young KR squad.

The 22-year-old will be a huge miss and join Kennedy in rehabbing from injury in the meantime.
