Hull KR have made some key selection changes ahead of their Magic Weekend derby against Hull FC.
Following the failed HIA of Dean Hadley and the monster suspension for Tevita Pangai Jr, the Robins were already travelling to Everton depleted.
However, Tom Amone’s facial injury meant that he dropped out of the 21-man squad on Thursday, forcing Willie Peters into another change in his middle unit.
Replacing them in the 21-man squad were Lee Kershaw, Jack Charles and Harvey Horne, all of whom aren’t direct forward replacements.
But, the forwards isn’t where the big surprise comes from. In the absence of Joe Burgess, Peters has opted to name Jack Broadbent on the wing and play Ryan Hampshire at full-back.
The Robins have been dealt two big boosts, with Jez Litten and Sauaso Sue back from their respective injuries.
FC, meanwhile, lost Harvey Barron in last week’s defeat to Wigan Warriors. In his place came Cade Cust, who Andy Last stated in midweek would feature.
Sue partners Jai Whitbread as the starting props, with Rhyse Martin and James Batchelor making up the back row.
FC make two changes from their defeat to Wigan. Harvey Barron drops out after failing a HIA, meaning Tom Briscoe moves on to the wing and Zak Hardaker joins the centres.
There is a first start for Lennon Clark in the back row, whilst James Bell returns at loose forward, in what is a big boost for Andy Last’s men.
