Hull KR will be looking to pick up just their second win of the Super League season when they take on Catalans Dragons on Saturday night.
The Robins started the Super League season remarkably slowly, with losses coming against York Knights and Leeds Rhinos in their first two league games. However, Willie Peters’ side got back on track against Huddersfield Giants a fortnight ago and they built on that by beating the Giants again in the Challenge Cup last week.
KR will be striving to climb up the Super League table with a third straight win in all competitions when they take on Catalans at the Stade Gilbert Brutus then.
Here’s how we think they’ll line up.
Well, Willie Peters isn’t one to make too many unnecessary changes but there could be a couple of alterations this weekend.
Jack Broadbent will start at full-back again in the absence of Frenchman Arthur Mourgue, with the rest of the back line -up remaining unchanged, barring any late changes.
As such, the only changes are expected to come in the pack. Rhyse Martin has fractured his foot and hasn’t travelled to Perpignan and that will prompt something of a shake up, with Dean Hadley expected to drop back into the back-row after starting last week as a prop.
James Batchelor is back in the fold, too, and he can be expected to start in his usual second-row spot with Tom Whitehead potentially dropping to the bench.
The front-row hole will likely be filled by Tom Amone, with Sam Luckley and Jai Whitbread able to come off the bench in the south of France. Expect Bill Leyland to pick up some more minutes in the absence of Karl Lawton, as well.
Predicted Hull KR line-up: Jack Broadbent; Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess; Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May; Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Tom Amone; Dean Hadley, James Batchelor; Elliot Minchella,
Bench: Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Bill Leyland, Tom Whitehead.
