The fight over who has the biggest derby in rugby league rages each year at around the same time.
With the Easter weekend coming up, it’s a chance for the ‘Rivals Round’ to take place – with Hull KR taking on Hull FC and St Helens taking on Wigan Warriors.
Of course, fans of both of those sides believe that their clash is the biggest in Super League and all four clubs’ support can justifiably claim so too.
However, for former St Helens winger and current Hull FC star, Adam Swift, it is the Hull derby that is the biggest in the competition.
“I’m going to break some hearts her especially with my old town but I think the Hull derby is the better derby,” Swift told Sky Sports.
“It’s unbelievable, the derby was my first game at the club and to experience that was unbelievable.
“Comparing against the two, the game style is pretty much the same with how intense and close it is, but off the field is where Hull takes the winner.
“The fans are absolutely mental and bonkers and I just don’t know what it is, but t’s definitely the Hull derby for me.”
Hull KR take on Hull FC with a 12:30pm kick off on Friday night before St Helens take on Wigan later on in the afternoon.
