Hull KR head coach Tony Smith makes shock selection with the absence of Brad Takairangi

Hull KR head coach Tony Smith has made a surprise selection ahead of tonight’s fixture against Salford Red Devils.

Though there is no Brad Takairangi after he was stood down earlier this week, Jimmy Keinhorst has slotted straight into the centres despite Ethan Ryan pushing for a spot.

Will Dagger will continue deputising at fullback in the absence of Lachlan Coote, but Tom Garratt comes in for his first Super League start ahead of Australian veteran Korbin Sims.

Danny Addy starts at loose forward for Salford, with Elijah Taylor on the bench whilst Alex Gerrard will make his Red Devils debut in the absence of Greg Burke.

Salford: Ryan Brierley, Ken Sio, Deon Cross, Tim Lafai, Joe Burgess, Brodie Croft, Marc Sneyd, Sitaleki Akauola, Andy Ackers, King Vuniyayawa, Shane Wright, James Greenwood, Danny Addy. Substitutes: Elijah Taylor, Ryan Lannon, Jack Ormondroyd, Alex Gerrard.
