Hull KR halfback to be surprise inclusion in club’s warm weather training camp

Hull KR are preparing for a new era at Craven Park.

The Robins have confirmed plans for re-development of the ground and have appointed a new Chairman this week.

They also have a new coach in Willie Peters who has replaced Hull FC boss Tony Smith in the Hull KR hotseat and he has brought in a number of new signings such as Rhys Kennedy.

Speaking of Kennedy, the Robins are also managing a number of injuries and surgeries such as star halfback Mikey Lewis who has undergone successful surgery and has begun recovery recently.

Lewis is one of a number of exciting young halfbacks at the club including the likes of Rowan Milnes and young man Jack Potter.

A magic young man, you might even call him a wizard, Potter has impressed so much in pre-season that he is an unexpected inclusion on the club’s warm weather camp as they prepare for the new season which will see the Robins host Wigan Warriors in the season opener at Craven Park in front of the Channel 4 cameras in a rematch of the opening game of last season between the same opponents.

This came will take place on 18th February. It’s unlikely Potter will play and they will be hoping to get Lewis ready.

The club will also be hoping that Jordan Abdull will be fit and firing as soon as possible after an injury hit 2022.
