Hull KR forward Dean Hadley has penned a one-year contract extension to remain at Craven Park beyond the end of the current season. The forward was one of Rovers‘ best last time around and the club have pushed to secure his services until the end of the 2026 season.
The 32-year-old is preparing to enter his seventh season with the Robins having made the switch from Hull FC back in 2019 and he has made 104 outings for the club in that time. That includes 30 appearances last season as he helped the club to their first ever Super League Grand Final.
The back-rower is a real crowd favourite in east Hull and he’ll be an integral member of Willie Peters’ side once more this season as the Robins look to go one better and end their 40-year wait for a trophy.
“We’re pleased Dean Hadley has signed a new one-year extension at Hull KR,” Peters said. “Dean leads through his actions both on and off the field and has deservedly become part of our club’s leadership group.
“Deano is well-liked amongst the playing group. One of the biggest compliments a player can have is your teammates want to play with you, and that’s definitely the case with Dean Hadley.”
On his new deal, Hadley said: “I’m really happy to re-sign with Hull KR and get sorted nice and early. For me, this is the only place I want to be. I love it here.
“I enjoy being in this environment with the lads. As a club, we’re getting better every year.
“Part of my reason for coming here (in 2019) was to establish myself as a first team player. I wanted to be somewhere where I was playing a role and I’d like to think I’ve done that so far.
“It’s proved to be a really good decision for me and I’m looking to improve again (in 2025) and win silverware at Hull KR.”
