Hull KR host Batley Bulldogs at Craven Park On Friday night as they aim to kickstart their Challenge Cup push this year.

The Robins made it to the semi-finals last season but haven’t been to Wembley for the final since their huge loss to Leeds by a score of 50-0 in 2015.

They’re met with Championship opposition in their first fixture albeit an inform Batley Bulldogs side.

Batley enter the game having just beaten Toulouse and will certainly back themselves to beat a somewhat depleted Rovers.

The Robins are still without spine players Lachlan Coote (hamstring), Jordan Abdull (quad), Rowan Milnes (broken hand) and now Matt Parcell (HIA) is added to that list.

Another man to miss out this week is Jesse Sue who is serving a one game ban.

That brings three new faces into the 21-man squad in the form of Jimmy Keinhorst, Luis Johnson and Phoenix Laulu-Togaga’e.

Johnson was recalled from Castleford just last night whilst PLT has most recently played for Keighley in the Championship, and could get a run at full-back according to Willie Peters who praised him during yesterday’s presser.
