Hull KR fire shots at Warrington

After overcoming Warrington in emphatic fashion last night, the Hull KR social media account was on top form too.

Warrington had released a tweet earlier in the week stating “The Sheriff is back in town for the play-offs,” with Wolfie the mascot shown riding a horse around the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

The Rovers’ Twitter account, however, couldn’t resist in retaliating after a 19-0 win sent KR to a semi-final play-off against Catalans Dragons next Thursday.

“The Sheriff didn’t last long…,” was the caption with a video of someone digging a huge hole.

It really was a superb victory, with the likes of Mikey Lewis and Jordan Abdull having stormers as Warrington simply could not breach the stubborn Robins’ defence.

The result also meant that Warrington boss Steve Price bowed out without a Grand Final victory as Tony Smith’s men continued a remarkable transformation from basement dwellers to silverware hunters.
