Hull KR look to have been dealt an injury blow just 16 minutes into their clash with Leigh Leopards on Saturday afternoon.
The Robins were already without Mikey Lewis through concussion protocols after taking a knock to the head last time out against Leeds Rhinos. Rhyse Martin was a notable absentee in the line-up, too, with the Papua New Guinea international only just returning from a long-term quad injury.
In the absence of Lewis, Danny Richardson was the man selected to take on the half-back role and he will have been keen to impress on just his fourth appearance of the season for KR. Richardson, who has spent time on loan at both Huddersfield Giants and Salford Red Devils this season, has found minutes hard to come by at Craven Park this season.
He was given the chance to impress at Leigh Sports Village in Lewis’ absence, though, with Peters looking his way. However, he latest just 16 minutes with the half-back seen limping out of the action with what looked to be a lower leg injury.
Richardson never quite looked comfortable in the Leigh heat, being penalised for offside early doors before being jumped over by Ethan O’Neill as the Australian collected Lachlan Lam’s kick to touch down.
The half-back was replaced on the field by Jez Litten, who has been seen in half-back at times this season.
Peters will take comfort from the expectation that Lewis will be fit to return next week when Rovers travel to Catalans Dragons in Super League.
