Jordan Abdull will be on the move in 2025. Rumours have swirled for several weeks that he will not be at the Catalans Dragons next season, as their attack has struggled to click this season. Earlier today it was confirmed that Abdull would not extend his loan, from Hull KR, with last year’s Super League Grand finalists.

Abdull started his career with Hull FC. He played 54 games for the Black and Whites, before crossing the city to join Hull KR, after spending 2019 at the London Broncos. Abdull was a mainstay of the KR side for several years, before unexpectedly joining the Catalans Dragons on loan for the 2024 season.

The Dragons were believed to have first refusal on Abdull for 2025, but have decided against exercising their option. Abdull now appears set for a dramatic return to West Hull, joining Richie Myler and John Cartwright’s rebuild at the club. As a homegrown player, Abdull would not take up a precious quota spot in the FC squad.

“Hull KR can confirm Jordan Abdull will depart the club at the conclusion of his season-long loan with Catalans Dragons.

“The 28-year-old first linked up with the Robins on loan in 2017, before joining the club permanently ahead of the 2019 Betfred Super League season. The Hull-born halfback made 78 appearances for the Red and Whites, scoring 25 tries.

“Hull KR Head Coach, Willie Peters said: ‘Jordan was an important part of Hull KR for a number of years and we thank him for his service to the club. We wish him all the best in the future.’”
