Hull KR have confirmed that eleven of their players will leave at the end of the 2024 Super League season.
Among those eleven are names such as Ryan Hall who was confirmed to be heading to Leeds Rhinos some time ago as well as the likes of Ben Reynolds and Yusuf Aydin who have already left Craven Park mid-season.
However, there are new names and faces whose contracts have ran down and have their future unconfirmed beyond the current 2024 campaign.
Hull KR announced the list of eleven players via a statement that they released on their website with head coach Willie Peters paying tribute to all those departing.
It read: “Hull KR can confirm its departing players and staff following the end of the Robins’ 2024 Betfred Super League season.”
Peters added: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I’d like to thank all of our departing players and staff for their contributions.
“It’s been a year of further progress built on the team effort from all involved. We wish everyone departing Hull KR all the best for the future.”
Who are the 11 players leaving Hull KR?
Hull KR had announced last night that contracted forward George King would be granted an early release from his contract and the Ireland captain was among those on the list today.
The prop has found game time hard to come by in the second half of the season but could be called into action on Friday night in the absence of the suspended Elliot Minchella and injured Kelepi Tanginoa.
Matt Parcell is another veteran who has had his exit confirmed this week with the hooker looking likely to leave Rugby League behind unless an NRL opportunity pops up in the off-season.
Another overseas player departing is centre Tom Opacic, something that was also confirmed in recent weeks. The remaining eight players to depart are all homegrown and plenty already have confirmed clubs for 2025.
Louis Senior made the switch to Castleford Tigers where he will remain in 2025, whilst Castleford loanee Corey Hall has been confirmed to be returning to former club Wakefield Trinity.
Both Yusuf Aydin and Ben Reynolds left for Hull FC, however, Reynolds has since moved on to Featherstone, where he started the 2024 season.
Ryan Hall will return to Headingley for 2025 as he bids farewell to Craven Park where he took the record of Super League’s all-time record try-scorer.
Matty Storton is another who will join Corey Hall at Wakefield Trinity whilst Reiss Butterworth is expected to drop back down to the Championship after his one-year deal with Hull KR.
Former Hull KR Academy captain Harvey Moore is without a deal for next season it seems but the youngster will be the eleventh man to leave Craven Park.
It was also confirmed that first team physio Fay Martyn, daughter of footballing legend Nigel Martyn, will leave the club at the end of the year.
