Hull KR have confirmed their eighth signing for the 2025 season with the Robins adding more depth to their impressive squad.
After getting a taste of the big game but falling short in 2024, Hull KR will be even more keen to make it to Old Trafford and etch their name into the Super League history books.
The progress made at the club since the arrival of head coach Willie Peters prior to the 2023 season has been immeasurable with the Robins now surely considered among the elite group in Super League.
Whilst Peters’ coaching has certainly been at the core of that, the club’s success rate in recruitment has also been incredibly important.
Very few signings made in the Willie Peters era could be considered flops with their Grand Final line-up at Old Trafford featuring seven first-year Robins and a further two that had signed in 2023.
After making seven signings already for 2025, the club have now confirmed their eighth with Lee Kershaw arriving from London Broncos to add further depth to the Robins’ talented ranks.
Hull KR swoop for London Broncos winger
Kershaw might not trouble the starting lineup initially considering that he’ll have to compete with Joe Burgess and Tom Davies, but he’s one of the best depth options in Super League and could well usurp either man.
His 2024 campaign with London Broncos started well with the ex-Wakefield man scoring two against Wigan in Round Four but his try-scoring exploits would slow down.
He managed to rack up five tries which takes his tally to 24 in 73 Super League games with Hull KR confirming that the 25-year-old will begin pre-season training with the club this month.
Speaking on the signing, Willie Peters said: “We are pleased Lee will be joining Hull KR in 2025. We felt we needed further depth in the wing position and saw Lee as a very good fit for the club.”
Kershaw added: “It’s a great opportunity for me to sign at Hull KR, and it’s something I’m going to take full advantage of. I look forward to being a part of this ambitious club, and can’t wait to play in front of the devoted fan base that always brings the noise.”
Prior to the 2024 Super League season, Kershaw had been seen in pre-season training with Leeds Rhinos before linking with London. He now finds a new home at Craven Park meaning he’ll be challenging nearer the top of the table in 2025 than he had this past season.
