Hull KR confirm 2025 squad numbers with five new signings in the top 17

Hull KR

Hull KR have confirmed their squad numbers for the 2025 season after the Robins completed their latest signing.

Rovers announced a permanent deal for second-rower Leon Ruan after the released Leeds Rhinos man had a successful trial period with the Robins.

After tying down Ruan on a two-year deal, Hull KR had completed their squad ahead of the 2025 season and shortly after revealed the squad numbers.

It had already been confirmed that reigning Man of Steel Mikey Lewis would wear the number six shirt after the decision to ‘unretire’ Roger Millward’s number, however, the rest of the squad numbers have now been confirmed.

The club have announced a 34-man squad with all numbers taken and nine new signings handed shirts, showcasing the heavy recruitment that Willie Peters has overseen ahead of his third year at Craven Park. Of those nine signings, five earn numbers inside the top 17 – albeit one is perhaps a shock omission from the top 13.

With Mikey Lewis having ditched the number seven and taken the number six shirt instead, his half-back partner Tyrone May jumps from 27 to seven.

Joe Burgess, who was a late signing ahead of the 2024 season, jumps from 35 to number five as he takes on the shirt number that Ryan Hall left behind when re-joining Leeds Rhinos.

New winger Tom Davies takes the number two shirt whilst Niall Evalds and Peta Hiku take one and three respectively, after claiming shirts two and one last year having signed in to play different positions.

Jez Litten retains the number nine shirt despite the arrival of Super League veteran Micky McIlorum (14), whilst young hooking recruit Bill Leyland takes 25.

NRL recruit Jared Waerea-Hargreaves claims the number ten shirt left vacant by George King’s exit whilst star signing from Leeds Rhinos, Rhyse Martin, does not make the top 13 with the Papua New Guinean second-rower having to settle with number 17.

Of the club’s other signings, Lee Kershaw wears 23, Eribe Doro takes 24, and the recent signing Leon Ruan claims 27.

Mid-season recruits from 2024 Jack Broadbent (18), Danny Richardson (19) and Jack Brown (21) all claim shirts just outside the top 17.
