Hull KR boss Tony Smith gives update on Ryan Hall ahead of Hull FC derby

Hull KR have provided a squad injury update following Rovers’ loss to Huddersfield Giants in Round 16.

Early in the contest, Ryan Hall left the field with a rib cartilage issue sustained in a drive from backfield. Hall will miss this Saturday’s clash against Toulouse and the injury will be monitored in the run-up to the Hull Derby.

George King suffered a small hamstring tear later in the first half against the Giants. King is expected to miss between 2 and 4 weeks with the tear.

Jordan Abdull (quad tear), Brad Takairangi (hamstring tear) are continuing their respective rehabilitations with the club and are managing well.

Kane Linnett is also progressing well following surgery on his ruptured bicep and may be available to feature within the team in the next two months.

Having ruptured his pectoral muscle last week against Saints, Luis Johnson has now undergone surgery and will begin his rehabilitation with the back-rower pushing to return for 2023’s pre-season.

Dan Okoro is also now recovering from ligament surgery and will likely miss the rest of the season. After dislocating his kneecap in the win over Huddersfield’s Reserves, Charlie Cavanaugh is expected to return to play within the next five weeks.

Hull KR Women’s Captain, Aaliyah Brewster will undergo surgery later this week on a double-leg fracture. The club has wished Brewster all the best with her recovery.
