Hull KR head coach Tony Smith has provide da squad injury following the side’s Round 11 loss to Leeds Rhinos last Friday night.
Frankie Halton is nearing his return to the team as he recovers from an ankle sprain sustained in the Hull Derby. The elusive second-rower is now back on the training field and working towards rejoining the first team in the coming weeks.
After Linnett tore his bicep in a nasty collision late in the Robins’ win over Trinity, the Scotland international is still being monitored with surgery an option.
Similarly, Wood picked up a knee injury and was forced from the field midway through the second half against Leeds and will undergo scans to determine the severity of his injury.
However, it’s not good news for Wood, with Smith confirming a dislocated kneecap.
“We were fearful of an ACL, but fortunately it’s not, it’s a dislocation of the patella,” Smith told the club’s Youtube channel.
“That’s not nearly as bad. That’s a matter of weeks rather than months.
“It’s great news for Sammy, and great news for his teammates. Hopefully we will have him back in action soon.”
Matty Storton picked up a sternum injury against Leeds Rhinos. The injury on the SC Joint which attaches the arm to the body will be assessed over the coming days to determine how much time Storton will miss.
During Friday’s game, Matt Parcell returned from a concussion and broken nose he suffered against Toulouse and came through the game relatively unscathed.
Mikey Lewis continues his rehab after rupturing ligaments in his ankle against Castleford in the Betfred Challenge Cup earlier this month and is still in a protective boot.
Luis Johnson is now in full training after featuring for Dewsbury two weeks ago and will be pushing to make the Robins’ 21-man squad this week.
