Hull KR boss Willie Peters has revealed a couple of concerns picked up in the club’s victory over Castleford Tigers this evening.
The Robins won 50-6, and only conceded in the final play of the game in what was another complete performance that sees them win their sixth game in a row.
Tom Davies crossed for a hat-trick, whilst Karl Lawton also bagged two after starting at hooker.
Four other players got over the whitewash, in an effort that bodes well for next week’s Challenge Cup semi-final against Warrington Wolves.
However, the club will be sweating on the fitness of one key man, who only managed to feautre in the first half.
Dean Hadley didn’t return in the second 40, with Peters not wanting to risk his star forward given the scoreline and the games ahead.
Revealing Hadley’s issue, the Hull KR spoke to Sky Sports post-match, revealing: “There’s a bit of tightness, not sure exactly what yet.
“I didn’t want him to, when he complains about tightness, you don’t want to take a risk.
“I’m sure it’ll be okay. We just don’t want to risk it.”
Another concern could come for star half-back Mikey Lewis, who was place on report.
Lewis tried to kick ahead a loose ball, but instead his shin caught the head of Tigers forward Sam Hall, who subsequently went off for a HIA.
The incident was accidental, and Hall passing his HIA will no doubt help Lewis’ case, but nontheless the incident was put on report and the Robins will have to wait for the disciplinary panel to make their decision.
On that moment, Peters said: “I didn’t have a [second] look, but I don’t think it was anything in it at all. But I need to have a proper look.”
