Hull KR have announced the departures of 10 players at the end of the Super League season.
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Micky McIlorum are the most high profile players moving on with the veteran duo hanging up their boots when KR’s season comes to an end. The pair have only been with the club a year, but they have played important roles as Willie Peters’ side look to complete a treble.
Waerea-Hargreaves has made 22 appearances for the Robins this season with his only try coming in the Hull derby back in April. McIlorum on the other hand has struggled with injuries, restricting him to just 15 appearances.
However, both men featured in the Challenge Cup final and there’s a chance that both could play a part in KR’s Super League play-off campaign, with McIlorum attempting to get back from an ankle injury.
McIlorum is expected to return to Catalans Dragons next year in a coaching role, while Waerea-Hargreaves’ next steps remain unknown at present.
The club have also confirmed Rowan Milnes’ exit, with the half-back joining on a short-term deal from Castleford Tigers last month. He’ll likely end his second spell at the club without making an appearance.

Danny Richardson will be joining York Knights, while Niall Evalds has seen his loan at Huddersfield Giants made permanent.
Rovers have also confirmed AJ Wallace’s expected departure after spending two seasons in east Hull. He failed to make a competitive appearance for the Robins, but he has made 11 appearances this season with loan spells at Goole Vikings, Sheffield Eagles and Toulouse Olympique.
Lennie Ellis leaves after making just one appearance in red and white back in 2023, while Kye Armstrong also moves on after joining the club from Hull FC last winter.
The club have also included Connor Barley and Neil Tchamambe in their departures list, despite already moving on earlier in the season, with Tchamambe joining Wakefield Trinity and Barley spending the last weeks of the season with Featherstone Rovers.
Club coaches Kevin Deighton and Jimmy McDaniel will also be leaving the club.
Speaking on the departures, head coach Willie Peters said; “On behalf of the club, I’d like to thank our departing players, Kye, Ajahni, Neil, Rowan, Connor, Lennie, Niall, Danny, Jared and Micky alongside our departing staff in Jimmy and Kev for their contributions to Hull KR.
“They’re all great people who have played a part in Hull KR’s progress and success in their own way and we wish them all the best for the future.”
