Hull KR are currently having somewhat of a dream campaign.
They’re in prime position to take the League Leaders’ Shield from under the noses of Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves, all in front of some excellent crowds.
On top of this, they’ve got a number of new signings to look forward to for next season, including Rhyse Martin, confirmed this week.
How might they line up next year, where they’ll look to build on this year’s success?
How Hull KR could line up in 2025 after latest star signing
Fullback: Niall Evalds
Finally having some consistency again, Evalds has always had bags of ability but at times has struggled due to injury problems, which plagued his time with Castleford.
However, despite starting the season on the wing, he’s made the fullback position at Craven Park his own, and will almost certainly continue this next year.
Wingers: Tom Davies and Joe Burgess
Catalans Dragons have made a number of signings for next year, and this is down to losing some key names, including Tom Davies.
He’s an excellent try-scorer, and will be a great replacement for the outgoing Ryan Hall.
Another top try-scorer is Joe Burgess, perfectly displayed by his four tries in victory over St Helens.
Centres: Peta Hiku and Oliver Gildart
Although Broadbent has stepped in at times since signing from Castleford, Peta Hiku and Oliver Gildart have probably been the most consistent of Hull KR’s options.
Gildart has spent time out injured, but when fit, he’s a top option and since a brief fullback experiment, Hiku has comfortably taken a spot in the centres.
Tom Opacic has left the club, but Rhyse Martin’s ability to play there may mean they’re happy with what they’ve got.
Halfbacks: Tyrone May and Mikey Lewis
Mikey Lewis is, of course, a shoe-in. He’s one of the best players in Super League and surely a front-runner for Man of Steel in 2024.
He’s had new signing Tyrone May alongside him this year in one of the best halves partnerships in the league, which will likely continue through 2025.
Front row: Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Micky McIlorum and Sauaso Sue
Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is one of the biggest signings for 2025, no doubt about that – and the three-time Premiership-winning New Zealand international will likely be alongside Sauaso Sue, with Jai Whitbread another good option.
McIlorum’s signing from Catalans Dragons looks to be an excellent pick-up too – taking the role of Matt Parcell from this season, he’ll start most games, with Jez Litten available to come off the bench and cause havoc.
Back row: Rhyse Martin, James Batchelor and Elliot Minchella
The latest confirmed pick-up is Rhyse Martin, who will join from Leeds Rhinos ahead of 2025.
Added to his signing, James Batchelor’s ability, and having Elliot Minchella at loose-forward, makes this surely one of the best back rows in Super League for 2025.
