Jake Connor, love him or hate him, is one of the most talented players in Super League.
Able to flick a pass out of nowhere, attract numerous defenders and put in some delightful kicks, Connor can do absolutely everything going forward.
Of course, with every talent there is usually a weakness and for the Hull man it is the defensive side of things, but that is outweighed by his presence in attack.
And, in a 31-22 victory over the Wigan Warriors on Saturday afternoon, Connor registered another FIVE assists to extend his lead to the top of the try assist charts by five.
The fullback now has 22 try assists to his name – an average of almost two a game – with his nearest challenger Huddersfield Giants’ Tui Lolohea who is on 17.
Having been cut adrift from Shaun Wane’s England squad in 2023, Connor is doing everything right to get his name back into the former Wigan boss’ thinking.
And, he has been backed by former Leeds Rhinos and Warrington Wolves fullback Richie Mathers for a big move to the NRL.
After being asked whether or not Connor would make it in the NRL, Mathers tweeted: “Yes mate I’d say so bro, he’s special. In an NRL system, with an NRL pre-season in him, he’d kill it.”

And, now Hull Live has added the fuel to the fire by saying that Connor is fielding offers from the NRL, including one from Canberra Raiders who have been admirers of Super League players in the past with Elliott Whitehead, John Bateman and George Williams having carved out big reputations for themselves Down Under.
