Rugby league players know that when they take to the field, there is a chance of getting injured.
Some stars can go through their careers relatively injury free whereas others can experience major heartache.
The latter can be said to be true for Hull FC’s Andre Savelio who ‘heard a pop’ during the derby game with Hull KR on Good Friday.
To his absolute credit, the powerful back-rower continued on the field until he was finally pulled off by FC boss Brett Hodgson.
And, after it was confirmed that he had ruptured his ACL, heartwarming gestures flooded in from far and wide to wish Savelio the best of luck with his rehab.
The man himself took to Instagram to express how he was feeling with the news – and it included some real tearjerking words.
Savelio stated: “The Injury, the Op, the Rehab – Thats tough. But looking your mates in the eyes when there Backs to the Wall, knowing you cant lace up with them – that Sh*t really Hits. Ive been here before – Ill be back. Love This Team.”

In his absence, Hull were able to pull off an 18-16 win over Warrington Wolves on Easter Monday.
Everyone at Serious About Rugby League passes on their well-wishes to Savelio.
