Hull FC have bolstered their forward pack after announcing the loan signing of Max Wood from Warrington Wolves.
Wood re-joins the Black and Whites for the next month, after a brief spell at the club earlier in the season. He featured twice under Andy Last, coming off the bench in the win over Huddersfield and the defeat to Wakefield.
The 22-year-old’s return comes at a timely point for FC, who last week lost Yusuf Aydin to a failed HIA, meaning he will also miss this week’s Hull derby.
It is the third game between FC and KR this season, with the Robins winning the opening two ties, extending their run to eight derbies without defeat.
However, after both teams suffered disappointing defeats last week, it makes for a much more even playing field heading into Thursday’s contest.

As mentioned, the home side have brought in Wood from Warrington, so he is a straight swap for the sidelined Aydin.
Lewis Martin is another returnee after he completed HIA protocols. The winger replaces youngster Ben Johnson in the 21.
Rivals Hull KR will be without star man Mikey Lewis after he picked up a four-match suspension from the Match Review Panel this week.
The former Man of Steel is replaced by Jack Charles, who could make his Super League debut for the Robins against his former club.
Noah Booth misses out due to a HIA, but is replaced by the returning Peta Hiku. Joe Burgess and Jai Whitbread remain in the 21 despite not featuring against Warrington last time out.
