Hull FC v Wigan: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

The vast majority expected this to be the dress rehearsal for a play-off match earlier in the season, but Hull FC’s recent plight has seen them drop out of the top six picture. To add a little bit of shine back to their season, they need to beat the Warriors who themselves are in desperate need of some form as the play-offs beckon.

Hull FC have lost key man Danny Houghton to a wrist injury creating yet another problem for Brett Hodgson to solve. He’ll most likely move Jordan Johnstone to nine putting further strain on Hull’s depleted pack. The backs will likely remain the same in the absence of Adam Swift whilst their bench will still be relatively lightweight in terms of size with halfback Ben McNamara and back Connor Wynne the only senior options available to complete the 17.

As for the Warriors, the personnel won’t change much from last week. Oliver Gildart’s return will cause a chain of events which will likely see Joe Bullock drop out. Meanwhile, Adrian Lam will likely trust Sam Powell to start after he began the defeat to Warrington on the bench following his head injury.
