Hull FC v St Helens: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

After defeat to Leeds on Thursday night, Hull FC will have to dust themselves for the visit of the Champions. St Helens haven’t played since their Wembley triumph over Castleford but their focus will now firmly be set on retaining their Super League crown.

Hull FC could very well field a similar side to the one who lost to Leeds. After all, for 50 minutes they dominated the Rhinos so it’s possible that Brett Hodgson won’t want to change too much. That said, you’d think both Ben McNamara and Jack Brown will be close to the 17 despite not featuring on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Kristian Woolf won’t make too many changes from the side who ended St Helens’ 13-year wait for Challenge Cup success. Sione Mata’utia could come back into the 13 having missed Wembley through suspension whilst youngster Lewis Dodd will take over at scrum-half following the season ending injury to Theo Fages. The Saints will also have to do without Regan Grace and Agnatius Paasi meaning Jack Welsby will likely start on the wing whilst Aaron Smith comes onto the bench.
