Hull FC v St Helens: Kick-off time, TV channel and predicted line-ups

Hull FC and St Helens have a tendency to produce entertaining clashes, but such has been St Helens’ dominance in recent years, it feels like some time since the Black and Whites and the Champions have had one of those classic encounters.

However, confident after an opening round win over Wakefield with new signings catching the eye left, right and centre, Hull could very well cause St Helens a few problems today.

Meanwhile, the Champions will be hoping to build on last week’s statement win over Catalans in which they proved they’d again be the team to beat in 2022.

Kick-off time and TV channel

The game will kick off at the MKM Stadium at 12:30.

Coverage starts on Channel 4 at 12:00.

Predicted Teams

Hull FC
The Black and Whites will be forced into changes this week largely down to suspensions. Fullback Jake Connor picked up a one match ban and will subsequently be replaced by Jamie Shaul who’ll be determined to prove a point in Connor’s absence especially as he gets linked with a move to Toulouse. Meanwhile, Andre Savelio’s suspension means that Cameron Scott could move from centre to the backrow with Josh Griffin potentially coming into the side following the achilles injury which ended his 2021 season. Joe Lovodua will remain on the bench as the ideal impact sub.

St Helens
The Champions don’t have to make any changes to their side after their Round One win meaning any differences between last week’s 17 and this week’s will be tactical. However, such was St Helens’ domination against Catalans last week, I find it hard to believe Kristian Woolf will make any changes.
