Hull FC v Leigh Leopards team news as signings miss out and Leigh dealt big injury blow

Leigh Leopards head coach Adrian Lam

Hull FC host Leigh Leopards at the MKM Stadium on Thursday night and both head coaches have now selected their 21-man squads.

Both teams will head into Thursday’s clash off the back of a win although it’s the visitors who are three from three and looking to maintain an unbeaten record, with the opponents having faced the same three teams.

The difference so far is the result against Wigan with Leigh edging a 1-0 thriller after golden point whereas John Cartwright’s side were thoroughly outclassed in Round Two at home.

They’ll be hoping to put a better home performance in on Thursday night but they could be without a number of players through injury with the likes of Zak Hardaker (groin), Jed Cartwright (hamstring), Oliver Holmes (knee), Davy Litten (MCL), Jack Charles (ankle) and Matty Laidlaw (ACL) all missing out last week.

Ligi Sao is also out for the season but it’s not a clean bill of health at Leigh either with Darnell McIntosh and Josh Charnley remaining out whilst Adrian Lam confirmed knocks for Umyla Hanley, Alec Tuitavake and Robbie Mulhern in the win over Catalans.
