Hull FC v Hull KR teams confirmed as Willie Peters makes Mikey Lewis call

Hull FC v Hull KR

Mikey Lewis starts for Hull KR this afternoon as the Super League table toppers take on Hull FC at the MKM Stadium. Lewis picked up a groin injury a fortnight ago against the Black and Whites and missed the Super League clash with Wigan Warriors as a result.

However, he has been deemed fit enough to return to the starting line-up in time for Rivals Round with the Robins taking on their bitter rivals for the second time in a month. He partners Tyrone May in the halves, of course, and his presence in the side will have Rovers confident of securing another derby win.

James Batchelor also returns to the fold after missing the last two through injury and that’s a change that sees Kelepi Tanginoa moved to the bench. Jack Broadbent, as expected, must make do with a bench spot, with Sam Luckley and Jai Whitbread also on the bench.

Will Pryce starts for Hull at full-back again with John Cartwright naming an unchanged starting XIII. In fact, Denive Balmforth is the only new name in the 17 with the hooker replacing Logan Moy on the bench.

That means Herman Ese’ese and Liam Knight start up front together with Zak Hardaker and Ed Chamberlain playing as makeshift back-rowers.

The two sides currently occupy the top two spots in Super League, with the winner of the clash knowing they will end the season on top of the table.
