Hull FC v Bradford Bulls team news as John Cartwright forced into spine shake up

Hull FC will be without Jake Arthur this evening when they take on Bradford Bulls at the MKM Stadium this evening.

The half-back joined the club from Newcastle Knights over the off-season but he’ll have to wait to make his Super League debut for the club after picking up a hamstring problem in the Challenge Cup win over Salford RLFC.

Arthur isn’t thought to be out for longer than a couple of weeks, but his absence means Callum Kemp starts in the halves for Hull. Will Pryce comes into the side and starts at full-back, while Harvey Barron, Zak Hardaker, Davy Litten and Lewis Martin play in the outside backs.

Liam Knight starts in the front-row in his first appearance of the year, while Harvie Hill, Joe Batchelor and Arthur Romano make their home debuts for Hull in the pack. Cade Cust will come off the bench alongside Sam Lisone, Ligi Sao and Brad Fash.

Bradford have named a team full of new signings, with Caleb Aekins at full-back, Esan Marsters, Connor Wynne, Rowan Milnes, Loghan Lewis, Andy Ackers, Ryan Sutton, Dan Russell and Joe Mellor named in the starting XIII with the latter at loose-forward.

Interestingly, Ed Chamberlain is named on the bench for Bradford, despite being on loan from the Black and Whites.
