Darnell McIntosh will not play again for Huddersfield after suffering a ruptured Achilles against Hull FC last week.

That will, ironically, be the Giants winger’s next destination, with McIntosh expected to sign with the Black and Whites for 2022 and beyond.

Huddersfield head coach Ian Watson confirmed it as such at his pre-match press conference today.

“It’s the end of the season for Darnell, which is a shame,” he said.

“When he’s played on the wing, he’s been outstanding so it’s a devastating blow.

“He’s okay, he’s come round to it and he knows it’s part of the game.
