An off-contract Hull FC forward will miss the rest of the season after an injury picked up against St Helens last night.
Yusuf Aydin could well have played his final game in the Black and White strip of FC, after suffering a PCL injury in the first half of last night’s 32-18 victory.
The Turkish-born prop becomes the latest injured member of Andy Last’s squad, joining the likes of Will Pryce, John Asiata and Sam Lisone in the recovery room.
Interim boss Last revealed the extent of the blow, saying: “He’s gone for the season. He’s done his PCL. We’ll get that scanned, but he won’t feature for us again this season, which is a real shame as Yusuf is someone who plays good minutes for us.
“He’s only recently come back from suspension, and he was contributing to the team, but he’s unfortunately picked up an injury now which means he won’t feature again this season.”
Elsewhere in the side, Zak Hardaker is a concern heading into next week’s game against Castleford. The veteran left the field late on in the game, forcing half-back Aidan Sezer to take over on kicking duties.

Hull FC boss offers verdict on French international’s injury return
For the first time since Easter, Arthur Romano lined up for the Airlie Birds after recovering from both an ankle and wrist injury.
The Frenchman came off the bench in the win and came away unscathed, which is the most important outcome at this stage.
“I wanted to get him on a bit earlier, maybe as a straight swap for Zak or a Tommy Briscoe in the centre positions, but when Yusuf went down, we had to hold that interchange back,” Last revealed. “We pushed Arthur into the back row position to just freshen Batch (Joe Batchelor) and Belly (James Bell) up.
“He didn’t play as much as I was hoping him to, but he got a good 20 minutes and showed what he is capable of. He carries the ball strongly, he’s a strong player, and it’s great to have him back.“
